Totemomail How -To: Adding the Totemomail Address Book in Outlook (Windows Version)

Go to “File” and then select Info  Account Settings

Select Address Books

Select New

Select LDAP as shown below:

Fill in the field for the server name by entering the address for the Totemomail server and select Next
(No other settings need to be filled in here.)

Please ensure that you replace the example “tmail.investec.co.za” show in all the images below with the value that was provided to your company.

Finish the process and Restart Outlook

After Outlook has been restarted Select Address Book from the menu bar:

Click on Tools

Select Custom

Find the address book for the Totemomail server as added earlier and move it to the top of the list by using the arrows on the right as highlighted in the screenshot below.

Select the Totemomail address book as the address book list to show first.

Select “OK” when done and restart Outlook again.

Troubleshooting

If the following message is displayed when composing an encrypted mail please make sure that nothing in the above setup has changed.

Another possible solution would be the following:

Delete the problem address in the “To” field of the mail.

Click on the “To” button.

Follow the steps as listed below on the screen that is shown:

Type out the complete address for the recipient.

Click on “Go”

Select the address that is shown and then click on “To”

Click on “OK”
